SRT Viper TA

This car came out six months early because the 2013 Viper GTS lost to a Corvette ZR1 in a Motor Trend test on Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Apparently CEO of SRT, Ralph Giles, was mad and was out for revenge. Motor Trend says Giles came up with the tires being the problem, the driver, pro racer Randy Pobst, not being comfortable with Vipers, and so on. Giles real retaliation was coming out with the TA earlier than expected. TA stands for Time Attack, which hints the reason they sped up production. Motor Trend reraced the cars with the TA instead of the GTS. The Viper won by 0.08 seconds around MRLS. The Viper has an open-valve 8.4 liter V-10, pumping out 640 horsepower and 600 lb ft of torque (which is the highest torque level for a naturally aspirated engine). This is the fastest Viper to-date with a 0-60 speed of 3.3 seconds and a quarter-mile speed of 11.3 seconds @ 129.3 mph. It has a two-mode suspension, smooth and rough. The X-Brace is carbon-fiber now as well. The TA has every package for the base Viper already comes with it.  As far as top speed goes, it is expected north of the 206 mph mark (set by the previous Viper) and somewhere possibly near the 210 mark. Pricing will be hovering near the $120,000 mark. Let me just say the Crusher Orange paint looks AMAZING on the Viper TA.
